The pups got their baths and photos yesterday, a lengthy ordeal to bathe and primp 8 pups and then try to get them to cooperate for a photoshoot! No one much minded their bath, most Cotons seem to like water. They were more concerned with the photography lights and why they were up on a small platform (which they would immediately try to dive off from). It's not easy to get the attention of a 6 week old puppy who would rather look at those weird lights, but watching Todd's shoes seemed to do the trick. I guess it makes sense, the appearance of shoes has meant great things to them since they were born. Shoes come when they're fed, and when they get treats, and their parents get very excited when they see shoes, and shoes always show up and bring them outside to play in the grass! Shoes are apparently very exciting things, to puppies. Once Todd started to walk away from the puppy and behind Tracy, the puppies eyes would be glued to his shoes, walking. Then, as he disappeared behind Tracy, she had a small window of time to get their attention somehow and get a good picture before they lost interest and dove off the platform into the hammock of fabric below. I think she did alright, considering! :D -Yeti
PS... To the nice man I met today... I'm so sorry I tried to pee on your shoes... I sometimes get out of line when I have puppies and mamas both, to protect!
